On 9-10 July, a third-party certification body conducted the annual surveillance audit of the company's ISO 9001 quality management system. The audit covered raw material purchasing, meltblown and composite production, finished-goods inspection, warehousing and dispatch, and after-sales tracking.
Audit Scope and Outcome
The team worked to ISO 9001:2015, combining record review, on-site observation and staff interviews. On-site checks covered the meltblown workshop, slitting and packing area, and finished-goods warehouse, focusing on control of process parameters, calibration records, and segregation of non-conforming product. Two minor non-conformities were raised, both relating to record keeping; no major findings were issued, and the certificate remains valid.
The quality department completed root-cause analysis within a week and submitted a corrective action plan, expected to close by the end of August.
Next Steps
In Q4, work instructions for meltblown, composite and slitting will be revised following an internal audit, with more specific first-article and patrol inspection frequencies. Next year's surveillance audit is planned for June, focusing on change-management records.
