Cleanroom Upgrade Completed to Support High-Grade Media Production

In late April, the meltblown and composite workshops completed a cleanliness upgrade to Class 10,000 in key areas, with air showers and differential pressure control now in use.

In late April, the company completed a cleanliness upgrade of its meltblown and composite workshops and passed internal acceptance. Key production areas now meet Class 10,000 (ISO 7) standards, with new air showers and differential pressure control in operation.

What Was Changed

The upgrade covered two areas: envelope and airflow — replacing ceiling high-efficiency supply outlets and reworking the supply-and-return layout to create directional airflow at critical stations — and personnel/material management, with air showers at the entrance and pass-through hatches for materials. Temperature and humidity monitoring points were added and connected to the workshop control system for traceability.

With airborne particle counts significantly lower, production stability for medical-grade media and high-end air-handling media has improved, as has cosmetic cleanliness and batch consistency.

Effect on Product Mix

Orders previously outsourced because of cleanliness requirements can now be produced in-house, giving tighter lead times and quality control. The company has also started evaluating system adoption for medical products, expected to complete within the year.
